Before:

When we planned on making the move from Winter Park, Colorado to Grove, Oklahoma in November 2023 I jumped at the chance to house hunt! That is one of my favorite types of TV shows to watch, I'm obsessed with house hunting in general! Selling Sunset, Beach Front Bargain Hunt, Lakefront Luxury, and the OG House Hunters....it doesn't matter, I watch all of them! Fun fact, when I was a consumer lender in Colorado, I did a HELOC for a couple who were featured on House Hunters International! They even referenced their lender, lol, that's me! Although that also slightly ruined it for me when I heard they had already bought the house, then toured two other homes just to film....but oh well, I can dream!
SO ANYWAYS....another fun fact, I bought (we're talking signed the loan papers and everything) 100% sight unseen! What in the world!? I might be crazy, yes slightly. My husband had walked through it with his two best buddies, so I felt okay with that. But it sure did make it fun driving up after the closing to finally see it for the first time! I had a good feeling about the layout of the home and the visual tour online that I knew this was the home for us. The mustard yellow main color wasn't my first choice, and I had just painted over a red door on our home in Winter Park, so I knew it could all be changed.
Fast forward two years to January 2026, I was finally able to get started on the huge project of having our house painted! I'm scared of heights, so I hired someone to do this for us, although I painted the front door myself. I agonized over the decision of what color the door should be, going back and forth between faux wood look, black like the trim or a shade of my favorite color, mint green. When I finally decided it needed to be mint colored, then I had the tough process of picking the perfect shade....then it hit me one day....I had just painted my Colorado home's front door the summer before we moved and I thought I still had some paint in the gallon we moved with us...sure enough! So there ya have it, Benjamin Moore "Seafoam Green" was the final choice!

As you can see, we also changed out the light fixtures to a more vintage/farmhouse look. I also decorated it with some antique finds, the vintage pedal car is from my dad and the steel belted cooler my husband found real cheap at an auction.

And finally, the final full view of the MASSIVE change! Now we get to enjoy it and I love pulling up to our home and knowing it's finally my style, with a "Kacie" front door as my friend called it!

Before & After:

The house is Valspar "High Reflective White" and the trim is a black that my painter always used.
